About Us

Armor-Up... Friendly and affordable... To us, RED WHITE AND BLUE are not just colors, they are a way of life here in the U.S.A. One company at a time will make a difference!!

The store is owned and operated by John and Mary Condon, we are your ‘Mom and Pop one stop shop, where Pop is Tactical and Mom is Practical.

The Store was inspired through an idea Mary Condon had which was inspired by her faith in God. She wanted to find a way to give back to a community that has been good to her and her family since 1960. She also wanted a way to offer members of the community a way to shop again during a recession we currently find ourselves in. She dreamed of creating a hometown shopping environment that she experienced here in Tracy back in the 60’s and 70’s.

We believe in the old standards of business when each business operated in unison. There wasn’t a great desire to ‘compete’ it was more of a practice of ‘completing’. Those practices have been long forgotten. Our purchasing ideology is to work within our USA boundaries by contracting with USA owned companies. We take pride in trying to find merchandise ‘Made in the USA’ it is a challenge but One company at a time will make a difference!

When our youngest daughter joined the ARMY and served 11 months in Iraq during ‘Operation Iraqi freedom, we started seeing how much our people within our own country take for granted and disrespect the very people that help make it possible for us to live a free life here in the USA. We started paying more attention to current events and politics and what we saw made us more determined to get involved politically and economically.

We appreciate the sacrifices that Military, Law Enforcement, EMT’s, Fire Dept and teachers do for our communities and children so for that we say "THANK YOU"

Mission Statement
The idea is to bring quality items and commonly needed services at affordable prices while conducting business in a fashion that God intended which benefits our community and countries economy.
Our goal is to find solutions that work for you not just sell you what we have in stock.

In today's economic times, the common consumer can not afford the expenditures of items deemed as "luxury" or "higher quality". People are going back to the basics.

Skills and Experience
John’s main career has been in the automotive industry for 38 yrs now. In 1993 when the Polly Klaas tragedy happened, John’s passion changed from automotive to self defense and tactical shooting. He’s spent the last 16 yrs learning and training himself and others on the skills of tactical shooting and self defense. His heart now lies in that arena and has become an expert. He’s worked directly with different levels of law enforcement and military. He continues to stay informed and educated as new products and methods are designed.

Mary has been associated with the retail industry since 1990, her capacity was to train and assist in the creation of new retail businesses, large and small. Training was in the area of POS, Inv Control, Accounting; G/L, A/P, A/R & P/R. Her skills also include: Customer Service, MS programs, excel, accounting software, mother and proud grandma; she is now John’s side kick in the store.

In the Future
Our company will be combining several ‘Service oriented’ practices, all designed around the common consumers practical needs. Soon we will be offering delivery services within a specified mile radius. All states are having to cutback on special services that so many have depended on for so many years. Armor-Up is being designed to fill in some of the gaps that the common consumer needs.

Purchasing
We will be purchasing merchandise through different venues with priority of using USA owned companies. We will have some clothing manufactured either in house or contracted out using workmanship and materials made in the USA.
